What To Expect
The Cub Scouts is a program that develops ethical decision-making skills and civic involvement for boys and girls. We also have lots of fun in the process! Activities emphasize character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. This is a great way for kids to meet new friends and participate in many different types of activities. They also benefit from a sense of belonging in a supportive, community-minded organization.
We hope you choose to join our Scouting community and share in some awesome adventures! This is a collection of frequently asked questions and links to additional resources to get you started in our program. If you have any questions, please contact the Pack 464 Cubmaster (Henriette Howett) at pack464wc@gmail.com.

Time Commitment & Volunteering
Scouts and their parents are typically involved in two to three scheduled activities per month. A monthly Pack Meeting (see above) typically occurs once a month. Each Den (smaller group of 5-10 scouts in the same grade) will typically meet once per month to work on achievements and other activities. There may also be a field trip activity each month. Additionally we have several optional activities planned throughout the year including: camping, hiking, baseball games, basketball games, and overnight stays at interesting venues like the USS Hornet.
Each family is responsible for volunteering for three activities or positions each year. Pack Leadership committee and large event chairpersons get credit for two of those activities.
